Telehealth Nurse

About the role

The Telehealth Nurse provides remote clinical support, counseling, and education to patients using specialty drug therapies. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards while fostering adherence and safe medication use.

Key responsibilities

• Counsel and educate new and existing patients on specialty drug therapies.
• Maintain adherence to contracted and accrediting regulations as indicated by drug specifications.
• Complete thorough and accurate documentation following good documentation practice and industry standards.
• Discuss potential and current side effects with patients, offering treatment alternatives and supporting therapy adherence.
• Identify and report adverse events and product complaints to manufacturers, the FDA, or other governing authorities.

Required profile

• Associate’s, Bachelor’s or higher in Nursing or an accredited nursing diploma.
• Registered Nurse with a current unrestricted compact state license or primary NC licensure.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with 3‑5+ years post‑graduate experience in pharmacy operations, clinical oversight, and patient care.
• 5+ years of nursing experience, preferably with at least 1 year in acute inpatient care.
• Ability to obtain licensing in all U.S. states and territories within three months of hire.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, preferably with motivational interviewing experience.
