TechOps Repair Engineer – Turbofan Engines

About the role

This position is part of Delta TechOps’ Repair Engineering organization, providing technical support for turbofan engine maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO). The engineer will work on shop repair, scrap recovery, and related processes to ensure safe and efficient engine component repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engine maintenance, engineering teams, and management to develop repair and process solutions for turbofan engine components.
• Partner with external repair vendors to create repair methods and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Define project scope, including equipment, tooling, and labor requirements.
• Establish and maintain schedules that meet defined objectives.
• Work with Delta SMEs and ODAs to develop substantiation and regulatory compliance plans.
• Prepare and organize reports, drawings, and engineering authorizations for assigned projects.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the United States.
