About the role

Join BASF’s Catalysts division in Houston as the Technology & Market Assessment Manager for the Americas. You will lead technical development and market analysis across a portfolio of catalyst technologies, driving growth and customer success in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical development of customer proposals, tenders and bids, presenting the value proposition.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, supporting start‑ups and monitoring performance.
• Own the catalyst and technology portfolio, translating market needs into technical requirements.
• Conduct strategic market assessments, define growth strategies, pricing and innovation plans.
• Collaborate with R&D, Marketing, Sales and Operations to drive product differentiation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or related field (advanced/PhD preferred).
• Experience in catalyst technologies or process‑engineering environments.
• Proven background in business development or customer‑facing technical roles.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and stakeholder management abilities.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
