About the role

The Technician will support the production and maintenance of electronic, mechanical, electromechanical and optical equipment. Working from engineering drawings and both written and verbal instructions, the role involves constructing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing and maintaining a variety of components, devices and systems. The Technician will also operate related test equipment and report data in the prescribed format.

Key responsibilities

  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test and maintain equipment components, devices or systems according to engineering drawings and instructions.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and follow written or verbal instructions to carry out tasks accurately.
  • Operate related test equipment, conduct prescribed tests, and report the resulting data in the required format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks, make adjustments, modifications and replacements as directed.
  • Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions needed for equipment operation and maintenance.
