General Production Operator

About the role

Flowers Foods, a leading U.S. bakery producer, is seeking a General Production Operator to join its manufacturing team. This full‑time position supports all phases of the bakery production process, from ingredient scaling to equipment operation and sanitation, ensuring product quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Review production schedules and assign job tasks.
• Scale ingredients accurately and load/unload mixers.
• Operate dough pumps, one‑pocket and six‑pocket dividers, rounders, and overhead proofers.
• Perform start‑up, shut‑down, sanitation, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety, quality, and company policies.
• Rotate between different production stations as needed.

• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to handle multiple job assignments.
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to a safe work environment.
• Capability to make production decisions regarding equipment pre‑flight and operation.
• Willingness to contribute to product safety, legality, and quality.
