Technical Project Manager

About the role

Charge Robotics is hiring a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to own a critical project: adapting the Sunrise system for a new deployment, guiding it through engineering development and international field deployment. You will act as the connective tissue across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, commercial, and field teams, keeping a complex, multi‑workstream effort on schedule and on spec from design through deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end project plan and schedule for the engineering development and deployment effort, coordinating across commercial, leadership, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field teams.
• Drive the design adaptation cycle, tracking requirements, design reviews, and milestones from concept through production readiness.
• Collaborate with supply chain to manage external vendors and contract manufacturers, ensuring timelines, deliverables, and quality requirements are met.
• Plan and coordinate international deployment logistics—including freight, mobilization, and on‑site readiness—in partnership with field, engineering, and customer teams.
• Maintain a clear view of risks, dependencies, and critical path; surface trade‑offs and keep stakeholders aligned on status and decisions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of technical program or project management experience, ideally with complex hardware systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with a track record of driving alignment across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and external partners.
• Ability to operate effectively amid ambiguity in a fast‑paced, rapidly growing startup.
• Based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area and able to work 4‑5 days per week onsite at the San Leandro headquarters.
• Willingness to travel, including international trips, to support manufacturing and deployment.

Required skills

• Experience managing international hardware deployments or working with overseas vendors and logistics (nice to have).
• Familiarity with intersecting industries such as solar, robotics, or construction (nice to have).
• Motivation to play a direct role in fighting climate change by accelerating the transition to renewables (nice to have).
