Technical Product Owner – SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO)

About the role

The Technical Product Owner will lead the advancement and optimisation of Applied Materials' SAP S/4HANA Finance suite, bridging finance and technology to ensure seamless integration and reliable functionality across the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) domain.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the finance systems strategy, standards and requirements for RTR and adjacent finance domains.
• Collaborate with AP, Treasury, GL, FA and close stakeholders to collect and validate business needs.
• Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications while ensuring compliance with SAP guidelines and internal controls.
• Own the product backlog for SAP AP, GL accounting and financial close, prioritising items against finance leadership priorities.
• Partner with SAP developers and architecture teams to deliver improvements to posting logic, period‑end close, reconciliations and reporting.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst or functional lead supporting SAP RTR, AP or other financial ERP processes.
• Strong expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance, including FI/CO, financial posting logic and close processes.
• Proven ability to maintain alignment with finance process standards, accounting policies and SAP guidelines.
• Excellent analytical skills to diagnose system, process and data issues affecting financial accuracy.
