Technical Lead .NET Developer

About the role

OnTrac is seeking a Technical Lead .NET Developer to own enterprise .NET applications for a financial-services customer in Las Vegas. This is a hands-on lead role covering application ownership, solutioning, production troubleshooting and leading a distributed onsite and offshore development team. The role suits a self-starter who takes ownership and can work independently as the onsite lead.

Expected start is ASAP. The engagement is long term, full-time or contract, onsite Monday to Friday in Las Vegas, Nevada. Candidates must be located in, or willing to relocate to, the Las Vegas area and authorized to work in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, enhancement and support of enterprise .NET applications
• Own production troubleshooting, incident resolution, root cause analysis and technical escalations
• Provide hands-on support for complex production issues and drive them to resolution
• Provide technical solutioning for business requirements, enhancements and ongoing maintenance
• Act as the technical point of contact for business and technology stakeholders
• Lead and coordinate a distributed onsite and offshore development team
• Analyze existing applications and identify technical and architectural improvements
• Mentor developers on system design, coding standards and engineering practices
• Identify technical bottlenecks and risks and recommend solutions
• Lead code reviews, estimate development effort and work with QA, Product and other technology teams

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree plus 12+ years of IT experience after graduation
• 8+ years of software development with strong hands-on C#.NET and .NET Core
• 3+ years as a Technical Lead or Lead Developer
• Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise and legacy applications in production
• Strong SQL and relational database experience
• Cloud environments and Agile/Scrum delivery
• Experience leading and coordinating onsite and offshore teams
• Strong communication with business and technical stakeholders

Required skills

• .NET Core, Web API, REST APIs and microservices
• Distributed systems design and implementation
• Software architecture patterns, object-oriented design and testing principles

Useful qualifications include banking, payments or financial-services experience and experience modernizing legacy .NET Framework applications. Pay is $80 - $90 per hour.
