Technical Assessor Associate – Remote

About the role

The Technical Assessor Associate conducts on‑site quality inspections of building systems and structures for commercial, residential, and industrial properties, while working remotely and traveling to client sites.

Key responsibilities

• Perform QA/QC inspections of electrical, mechanical, fire & life safety, and structural components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
• Conduct walk‑through surveys, collect data from equipment plates, photograph tags, and evaluate equipment condition using web‑based programs and tablets.
• Review construction plans, repair records, and regulatory documents to compare with on‑site conditions.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings, photographs, and corrective recommendations in accordance with ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC, and ASME standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED (some college preferred) with at least 3 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of field work and travel to multiple client locations.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ASTM, NFPA, NEC, ICC, and ASME standards.
• Experience using web‑based data collection tools and mobile devices (tablet/iPad) for inspections.
• Strong analytical, report writing, and oral/written communication abilities.
