Team Lead 3rd Shift

About the role

ABB is hiring a Team Lead for the 3rd shift at its warehouse in Byhalia. The position reports to the Warehouse Manager and focuses on directing daily operations with a focus on safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with and direct distribution associates through daily activities, prioritizing safety, quality, productivity and housekeeping.
• Perform process audits to ensure compliance with documented procedures.
• Be hands-on on the floor, directing the flow of work and moving associates promptly to keep the operation efficient.
• Capture daily performance data to identify ways to improve performance.
• Monitor systems and communicate with internal and external customers so work is completed on time.
• Attend and help with the pre-shift meeting, covering safety, quality, daily plans and staffing needs.
• Give supervisors feedback on associates' performance, behaviour and attendance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear the required PPE.
• Carry out other duties as requested by management.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution environment; a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior leadership experience and knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) preferred.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs, work at heights and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, able to manage several priorities and adapt to changing demands.
• Flexible to work different shifts or overtime with minimal notice, with attention to detail and confidentiality.
