Teacher of French – Tenure Track

About the role

The Berkeley Heights Public Schools are seeking a dedicated French Teacher on a tenure‑track basis. This full‑time position will serve students across multiple grade levels, delivering instruction from novice to advanced proficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the approved district curriculum and adapt lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Establish a classroom environment that promotes academic growth and personal development.
• Teach four levels of French language courses, ranging from beginner to advanced.
• Maintain positive relationships with parents, colleagues, and school administrators.
• Participate in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities.

Required profile

• New Jersey Instructional Certification in French at the appropriate subject level.
• Successful criminal history clearance.
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or valid employment authorization.
• Commitment to become a New Jersey resident within one year of hire.
