Tax Return Preparer / Reviewer (Remote or Onsite)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Tax Return Preparer / Reviewer to join a family‑run CPA firm serving individuals, families, farms and small businesses in Central Texas. The position offers a flexible hourly schedule and can be performed fully remote or from our Kyle office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and/or review individual and business tax returns.
• Participate in a two‑person review process to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Identify missing information, potential tax issues, and provide recommendations.
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation.
• Complete assignments accurately and meet all deadlines.

Required profile

• Proven experience preparing and/or reviewing tax returns.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Comfortable with digital files and remote collaboration.
• Preferred experience with farm/agriculture or construction‑related returns.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent designation is a plus, but not required.
• Experience in a CPA or tax‑firm environment.
