About the role
WilkinGuttenplan is seeking a Resource Coordinator to support its Tax department. You will be the primary point of contact for scheduling and resource allocation, ensuring the right staff are matched to the right work at the right time.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the go‑to scheduling contact for Tax staff and in‑charges, handling inquiries and escalating when necessary.
- Coordinate and manage all scheduling and resource allocation, actively monitoring capacity and pairing requests.
- Oversee pooled work assignments during peak season, deploying staff quickly as demand shifts.
- Conduct regular check‑ins with staff and coaches, including onboarding reviews, to confirm schedule understanding and capacity commitments.
- Monitor scheduled‑to‑actual variances in billable hours, identify skill gaps, cross‑training opportunities, and potential hiring needs.
- Perform first‑level review of staff capacity against billable targets and flag findings to the Resource & Operations Manager.
- Maintain the scheduling system and compile capacity reports to support staffing recommendations.
- Facilitate post‑engagement evaluations and ensure appropriate staff‑evaluator connections within the Tax department.
Required profile
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build trust across all levels of the firm.
- Proactive ownership of processes and a commitment to keeping operations running smoothly.
- Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, peak‑season environment.
