Tax Manager – Remote CPA Firm

About the role

Join an established CPA firm that serves individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits across New York and New Jersey. As a remote Tax Manager you will lead client service, oversee complex tax engagements, and develop the firm’s tax team.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for additional services.
• Manage and perform business advisory services, providing strategic insights and solutions.
• Review and prepare complex individual, partnership, S‑corp, C‑corp, exempt organization, and fiduciary tax returns and projections.
• Research complex tax issues and deliver strategic planning recommendations.
• Coordinate team workload for engagements, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate staff accountants and tax associates.
• Lead training presentations and workshops on tax updates, compliance, and best practices.
• Partner with firm leadership on business development and strategic initiatives.
