Tax Manager

About the role

Attentive is seeking a highly skilled and strategic Tax Manager to join its Tax team. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Tax, the manager will support all aspects of the company’s tax function, including accounting, compliance, planning, and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing the ASC 740 tax provision, including effective tax rate calculations, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and uncertain tax positions.
• Review and contribute to federal, state, local, sales/use, and other tax compliance filings.
• Prepare and review tax supporting documentation and workpapers for accurate and timely reporting.
• Research, analyze, and draft technical memoranda on federal, state, and international tax matters.
• Support strategic tax planning initiatives such as forecasting, modeling, R&D credits, and tax optimization.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, HR, and Operations to evaluate tax implications of business initiatives.
• Assist external tax audits and coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess impacts on tax position.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience preparing ASC 740 tax provisions.
• Hands‑on experience with federal, state, and local tax compliance.
• Proven ability to research and draft technical tax memoranda.
• Experience supporting tax audits and interacting with tax authorities.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
