Tax Japanese Business Network Associate – Summer/Fall 2027

About the role

As a Tax Japanese Business Network Associate at PwC, you will work within the Tax practice to help entrepreneurial and privately‑owned businesses navigate complex global tax issues. The role focuses on delivering tailored tax strategies, compliance support, and advisory services for clients with interests in Japan and beyond.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns and multistate compliance documents.
• Conduct tax research and analysis to provide up‑to‑date advice.
• Assist in international tax planning and structuring for compliance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with teams to draft and review tax documents, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Utilise data analytics to generate insights for tax policy and restructuring recommendations.
• Support partnership tax and direct tax consulting engagements.
• Participate in tax provision preparation, modeling, and auditing activities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Fluent in Japanese and English at a business level (reading, writing, speaking).
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
