About the role

As a Tax Intern at PwC in Cleveland for the Summer 2027 term, you will be immersed in the firm’s tax practice, supporting teams that deliver comprehensive tax advice and planning to corporate clients. The role offers hands‑on exposure to corporate tax returns, international tax planning, and regulatory compliance while you develop a solid foundation in tax consulting.

Key responsibilities

• Assist tax teams in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documentation.
• Support analysis of complex tax regulations to help optimize client tax positions.
• Participate in international and multistate tax planning projects.
• Conduct tax research and contribute to the development of tax models and structures.
• Help prepare tax provisions, audit workpapers, and regulatory compliance strategies.
• Apply data‑analytics techniques to identify tax optimization opportunities.
• Observe and learn from senior tax professionals to build technical knowledge.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5).
• Eligibility to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment.
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program.
