About the role

As a Tax Intern at PwC in Tampa for the Summer of 2027, you will gain hands‑on experience in tax consulting, supporting teams that deliver comprehensive tax advice and planning to corporate clients. The role offers exposure to corporate tax returns, international tax planning, and data‑driven tax optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Supporting tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies
• Preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns and compliance documents
• Analyzing complex tax regulations to optimize tax positions and minimize risks
• Assisting with international tax planning and multistate compliance activities
• Conducting tax research to support consulting projects and innovative solutions
• Collaborating on tax models and structures for clients
• Contributing to tax provisions and audit preparation to validate compliance
• Observing and learning from experienced tax professionals
• Applying data analytics to identify tax optimization opportunities
• Supporting development of regulatory compliance consulting strategies for diverse industries

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0 (preference for 3.5)
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before full‑time start
• Typically in the third year of a four‑year program or fourth year of a five‑year program at time of application
