About the role

As a Tax Intern at PwC in San Diego, you will join a dynamic tax consulting team for the Summer 2027 term. The role offers hands‑on exposure to corporate tax compliance, international tax planning and data‑driven analysis, while you develop a solid foundation in PwC’s methodologies.

Key responsibilities

• Support tax teams in delivering comprehensive tax advice and planning strategies.
• Participate in the preparation and review of corporate tax returns and compliance documents.
• Assist in analyzing complex tax regulations to optimize tax positions and minimize risks.
• Engage in international tax planning and multistate tax compliance activities.
• Conduct tax research to support consulting projects and provide innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with team members to develop tax models and structures for clients.
• Contribute to the preparation of tax provisions and audits to validate compliance.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year in a five‑year program at the time of application.
