About the role

Join PwC's Assurance practice as an Audit Intern for the Summer 2028 term in San Diego. You will gain hands‑on experience with financial statement audits, learn PwC methodologies, and develop a solid foundation in audit and assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Support audit teams in conducting financial statement audits.
• Review and verify financial documents to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
• Document audit processes and findings.
• Apply GAAP and GAAS in audit tasks.
• Collaborate with team members to assess risk factors and internal controls.
• Utilize data analysis skills to enhance audit quality.
• Observe and learn from experienced auditors.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum overall GPA of 3.0.
• Eligible to sit for the CPA exam in the intended state of employment before starting full‑time.
• Typically a third‑year student in a four‑year program or fourth‑year student in a five‑year program.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Understanding of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Data analysis abilities.
