Tax Auditor IV – Slot Operations

About the role

The Florida Gaming Control Commission is seeking a Tax Auditor IV to support its Office of Slot Operations. Reporting to the Slots Operations Manager, the auditor will help ensure compliance and accuracy of revenue and tax reporting for all licensed slot facilities across the state.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain audit programs, procedures, and checklists for slot operations.
• Conduct regular audits at licensed facilities and keep detailed audit files.
• Review and reconcile daily revenue reports and weekly tax remittances for accuracy.
• Update data in the Central Monitoring System and complete required DBPR forms.
• Identify revenue irregularities through system alerts and communicate findings to slot facilities.
• Assist in the prosecution of administrative cases involving slot facilities.
• Provide financial support and recommendations to improve audit efficiency.
• Perform additional assignments and special projects as directed.

Required profile

• Experience in conducting audits and reconciling financial data.
• Familiarity with gaming regulations and tax remittance processes.
• Ability to maintain detailed records and produce clear audit documentation.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with slot facilities and internal teams.
• Commitment to comply with state policies and Commission mission.
