Tax Analyst (Consulting)

About the role

A leading global technology and communications company supporting financial institutions is seeking a Tax Analyst on a 6‑month contract. The role offers a hybrid work model (2 days onsite) and provides hands‑on experience across tax compliance, accounting, regulatory reporting, transfer pricing, and process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, review and analyze data for federal, state, provincial and local tax filings, including income, franchise, sales and use taxes.
• Prepare tax‑related journal entries, account reconciliations and support quarterly/annual tax provision calculations.
• Support telecommunications regulatory reporting, indirect tax filings and customer taxability determinations.
• Assist with transfer pricing documentation, inter‑company reporting and international tax projects.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives and maintain SOX‑compliant documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related discipline.
• 3‑6+ years of experience in corporate taxation or public‑accounting tax.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, especially handling large and complex data sets.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills with the ability to work independently in a lean team.
