Tax Accountant – Business Advisory Firm

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing business advisory firm in Melville, NY, is looking for a Tax Accountant to help clients strengthen their financial positions through strategic tax planning and analysis. You will work closely with a collaborative team and have clear pathways toward leadership or partnership roles.

Key responsibilities

• Execute tax compliance for individuals, partnerships, and corporations across multiple industries.
• Identify tax‑saving opportunities and advise clients on best practices to reduce their effective tax rate.
• Act as a business advisor, preparing financial statements and delivering recommendations based on financial analysis.
• Support clients with tax planning, write‑off identification, and overall financial strategy.

Required profile

• 2–10 years of relevant tax experience, preferably with a Big 4 background.
• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to handle individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.

Required skills

• Tax compliance and planning expertise.
• Experience preparing financial statements.
