About the role
The Tarleton Today Instructor in the Department of Curriculum & Instruction is a 10‑month, non‑tenure‑track faculty position based at Tarleton State University’s main campus in Stephenville, Texas. The role may include an additional 2‑month summer appointment (50 % effort) and involves teaching, curriculum development, and service to students both on‑campus and online.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate courses in curriculum and instruction during the August‑May academic year.
- Develop and revise course materials, syllabi, and assessment strategies.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmental service, committees, and community outreach.
- Optional summer teaching or project work (June‑July) on a 50 % effort basis.
Required profile
- Commitment to high‑quality teaching and student success.
- Ability to work on campus and engage with online learners.
- Relevant advanced degree (e.g., PhD, EdD) in education or a related field.
