Tape Operator - Night Shift

About the role

Dura-Line, an Orbia Connectivity Solutions business, is hiring a Tape Operator in West Valley City for a night shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:15 PM. The role keeps the tape production line running smoothly, from the start of the weaving process to the finished product on the reel, and requires availability for a full week of training.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous high-quality product from the weaving process to the finished reel.
• Operate tape-producing machinery safely and efficiently according to work instructions and training.
• Monitor parameters and adjust the loom/printer to ensure quality.
• Keep the tape print line in line with the Quality Manual and ensure tape stays within tolerance.
• Perform line changes, setups and changeovers; document dimensions and report quality or production changes to the lead or supervisor.
• Load and maintain raw materials on reels and understand yarn types and their applications.
• Take part in training, safety and continuous improvement activities, and report unsafe conditions or broken equipment.

Required profile

• Around 1 year of equipment or machine operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience using measuring devices and hand tools.
• Ability to follow work instructions and perform basic math.
• Physical ability to stand and walk up to 12 hours, lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs, and work in noisy conditions while wearing PPE.

Required skills

• Good communication skills.
• Material handling or forklift experience preferred.
