Systems Support Administrator

About the role

Framestore’s Technology team is looking for a Systems Support Administrator to join its New York studio. You will provide escalation support for IT incidents, maintain critical infrastructure, and help artists and production teams keep their pipelines running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Provide escalation support for incidents and requests via JIRA Service Desk.
• Support storage requests and administer enterprise storage platforms (GPFS, Isilon, ZFS).
• Monitor and maintain physical and logical systems, including servers, workstations, and virtualization hosts.
• Administer OS images and Linux/Windows application packages, and manage license servers.
• Support render‑farm software and related services.
• Monitor system health and performance using Grafana and Nagios.
• Produce and update technical documentation in Confluence.
• Collaborate with other technology teams to support artist workflows.
• Participate in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours support.

Required profile

• 3+ years in a Level 1 IT support or similar role.
• Hands‑on hardware experience (building, upgrading, repairing).
• Experience with Red Hat Linux, Windows, and macOS environments.
• Active Directory management.
• Basic scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with Git/version‑control workflows.
• Understanding of enterprise storage architecture.
• Fundamentals of VMware ESXi administration and virtualization.
• Strong customer‑facing and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
