Systems Engineer - Radar Warning Receivers

About the role

CACI is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the U.S. Army at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, working with an integrated team on the Army Reprogramming Analysis Team (ARAT) program office. The role focuses on reprogramming aircraft radar receivers and supporting ground and airborne Electronic Warfare Systems (EWS), with up to 10% travel across the continental US. Minimum clearance to start is Secret.

Key responsibilities

• Support reprogramming efforts for aircraft radar receivers in ARAT's sustainment portfolio.
• Support testing and analysis of simulated RF threats, validate them in the lab with actual radar receivers, provide reprogramming updates and help disseminate them to end users.
• Support the full life cycle of associated Army software systems and their interoperability with hardware systems.
• Provide electrical/computer engineer support for EWS reprogramming as part of ARAT-PO.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or another engineering/technical discipline.
• 4 years of relevant experience.
• Physics background with understanding of RF theory and wave propagation.
• Hands-on electronics testing experience, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
• US citizenship required to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Active TS/SCI clearance desired.

Required skills

• RF testing equipment, including spectrum analyzers and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to parse intelligence databases, collect parametric data and enter it into radar receivers/processors.
• Analyze test results and debug reprogramming inputs.
• Standard Windows and Office tools.
• Desired: MS Excel, Matlab, radar signal characteristics, communications protocols, EW/EM project experience.
