Simulation Engineer (Radar Threat Simulations)

About the role

CACI is hiring a Simulation Engineer in Aberdeen Proving Ground, working on radar threat simulations used during Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) software testing and validation. The position is full time, requires a minimum Secret clearance to start, and involves up to 10% local travel. It is contingent on funding and may not be filled immediately.

Key responsibilities

• Develop radar simulations using a proprietary language Simulation Modeling Framework (SMF)
• Analyze and interpret radar signal parameters and develop radar signal simulations
• Understand how a system functions and use that knowledge to build radar simulations
• Determine which design and functional characteristics of radar systems affect the characteristics of the emitted radar signal

Required profile

• US citizenship
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related experience
• Active DoD Secret clearance (desired)
• Able to absorb new technical information quickly for practical use

Required skills

• General coding fundamentals and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Standard Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel)
• Desired: GitLab and CI/CD workflow, Excel functions, background in RF theory
