Systems Engineer, Perception – Autonomy Trucking

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a Perception Systems Engineer with an automotive background in ADAS or autonomous driving. You will define and manage perception subsystem requirements, evaluate safety and performance, and help shape the technical direction of autonomy projects for trucking.

Key responsibilities

• Design, monitor, and manage subsystem‑level perception requirements.
• Develop tools to derive perception requirements from stakeholder needs and safety cases.
• Create and maintain a scalable verification & validation (V&V) pipeline for perception performance.
• Coordinate with perception software teams to align on requirements.
• Collaborate with hardware teams on sensor set design and integration.
• Set clear goals, track tasks, and ensure timely execution across the project.

Required profile

• 3+ years of system engineering experience in the automotive industry.
• Hands‑on work with perception systems and sensor modalities for autonomous driving.
• Experience writing scripts for requirement frameworks and evaluation (Python preferred, C++ a plus).
• MS or BS degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
