Senior Software Engineer – Maps Infrastructure

About the role

Applied Intuition is seeking a senior software engineer to own and evolve the high‑definition (HD) maps infrastructure that powers autonomous‑vehicle fleets. You will work on a data‑flywheel that continuously ingests sensor data, runs change‑detection algorithms, and updates maps used for real‑time localization and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and operate distributed simulation workflows for large‑scale testing of control, planning and perception systems.
• Architect and build scalable HD‑mapping pipelines that integrate directly with autonomy stacks.
• Design infrastructure for map ingestion, dynamic change detection, and real‑time map fusion.
• Support map visualization, editing tools, and large‑scale simulation environments.
• Publish and maintain maps for a variety of vehicle types, from L4 trucks to L2++ cars and heavy‑industry platforms.

Required profile

• Senior‑level software engineer with a strong background in large‑scale distributed systems.
• Experience building continuous data pipelines and spatial‑visualization solutions.
• Passion for autonomous‑vehicle technology and HD‑mapping concepts.
• Ability to work across the full lifecycle of map creation, testing, and deployment.
