Systems Administrator – Patch & Vulnerability (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator (Journeyman) specialized in patch and vulnerability management to join our team remotely. The role focuses on enterprise‑wide patching and CVE‑based remediation across Windows Server and Linux/UNIX environments, both on‑premises and in the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deploy and validate patches for Windows Server and Linux/UNIX systems.
• Execute post‑deployment validation, rollback and contingency procedures to meet critical remediation timelines.
• Maintain configuration baselines, system imaging and change/release management processes.
• Document compliance‑driven activities and generate reports for DHS/federal audits.
• Support large‑scale endpoint and infrastructure platforms in a remote environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of systems administration experience with a focus on patching and vulnerability management.
• Experience working in DHS or other federal compliance environments.
