Systems Administrator

About the role

The Systems Administrator will ensure continuous operation of manufacturing systems, end‑user devices, and site infrastructure at our Decatur facility. You will act as the primary point of contact for IT incidents, driving rapid resolution to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize and resolve high‑impact tickets that affect factory operations, maintaining a fast‑track queue.
• Provide on‑site liaison between the Decatur plant, vendors, and enterprise IT teams for troubleshooting and escalations.
• Support desktop, laptop, peripheral, and mobile device issues, including phones and tablets.
• Perform basic network connectivity troubleshooting within the factory environment.
• Identify recurring problems, recommend process improvements, and support standardization and self‑service initiatives.
• Assist digital and automation projects such as low‑code applications, data transformation, and visualization.

Required profile

• Associate degree preferred (not required) with at least 3 years of IT experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is a strong plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer‑focused attitude.
• Strong teamwork and relationship‑building skills.

Required skills

• Ticketing systems – ServiceNow (preferred), Remedy or Jira.
• Microsoft technologies – Office, SharePoint, Power BI.
• PC troubleshooting – desktops, laptops, peripherals, software configurations.
• Mobile device support – phones, tablets, mobility solutions.
• Basic networking knowledge and connectivity troubleshooting.
