Systems Administrator – Enterprise Windows & VMware

About the role

ECLARO is seeking a seasoned Systems Administrator to join a leading technology solutions provider in New York. The role focuses on maintaining a large‑scale Windows server environment across on‑premises and hybrid platforms, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise Windows Server environments (2019‑2025) on physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Manage VMware virtualized infrastructure, including provisioning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and lifecycle operations.
• Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute server patching cycles and vulnerability remediation using tools such as Ivanti, SCCM/MECM, or WSUS.
• Develop PowerShell scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Monitor server performance, capacity, and health; support backup, recovery, and business continuity processes.
• Maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, and audit records.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and provide Tier 2/Tier 3 infrastructure support.

Required profile

• Expert‑level experience with Windows Server administration (2019‑2025) and server hardening.
• Strong VMware administration background.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise patching and vulnerability management platforms.
• Ability to work in formal change‑management and security‑focused environments.
