Systems Administrator – Corporate IT

About the role

Voleon is seeking a Systems Administrator to join its Corporate IT Services team. You will support the firm’s software engineering, quantitative research, and financial operations groups while driving automation and operational excellence across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage SaaS platforms (Microsoft 365/Entra ID, Slack, Zoom) – user administration, provisioning, and license management.
• Provide technical support and escalation for the End User Support team, resolving complex issues and coaching service‑desk engineers.
• Own the employee technology lifecycle, including hardware provisioning, inventory, device refresh, and secure off‑boarding.
• Maintain core IT infrastructure such as backup systems, server operations, and network services in partnership with Engineering.
• Administer endpoint management platforms (Jamf Pro, Intune) – policies, software deployment, security enforcement, and fleet updates.
• Build automation and tooling using PowerShell, Python, or Bash to reduce manual effort.
• Create operational documentation, runbooks, standards, and guides.
• Collaborate with Engineering on infrastructure projects.

Required profile

• 3‑5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, platform operations, and user support.
• Strong proficiency in macOS and Windows endpoint administration.
• Solid experience with Jamf Pro and Intune.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Wi‑Fi) and directory services (Active Directory, Entra ID, LDAP).
• Familiarity with backup and disaster‑recovery processes.
