Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer

About the role

CMA is looking for a motivated Systems Administrator / Cloud Engineer to join its Technology team. This mid‑level position blends traditional on‑premises systems administration with modern cloud engineering, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers both on‑premises and in the cloud.
• Design, deploy, and manage AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda) and GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud IAM) infrastructure using Terraform.
• Monitor system health, respond to incidents, and perform root‑cause analysis.
• Manage user accounts and access controls across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, AWS IAM, and SaaS platforms.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune) and handle licensing and security settings.
• Maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi environments, including VM provisioning and host maintenance.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
• Support network components such as firewalls, VPNs, DNS, DHCP, and load balancers.
• Automate routine tasks with PowerShell, Bash, Python, and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with policies and standards.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration or cloud engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with both AWS and GCP (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) administration.
• Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity/access management.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, routing).
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper‑V, or similar).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
