System Administrator

About the role

Revolutional is seeking a full‑time System Administrator to support mission‑critical IT infrastructure for federal agencies. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and securing computer systems while providing end‑user technical support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and software patches.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal operation.
• Implement security measures, conduct audits, and apply patches to protect against cyber threats.
• Provide help‑desk support, including hardware/software troubleshooting and user account management.
• Deploy backup and disaster‑recovery solutions, testing them regularly for reliability.
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and generate performance and security reports.
• Identify and implement automation tools or scripts to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with other IT teams and communicate with stakeholders to align on goals.

Required profile

• Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for SCI access.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in IT support or system administration.
• Security+ certification.
• Willingness to work either 1st shift (6 am‑2 pm ET) or 2nd shift (2 pm‑10 pm ET).
