System Administrator – Cybersecurity & IT Infrastructure

About the role

Join Maverc Technologies to support a high‑profile government customer by managing and securing their IT infrastructure. You will work on both physical and virtual environments, ensuring systems are reliable, patched, and compliant with strict cybersecurity standards.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including updates, patching, and performance tuning.
• Deploy, configure, and manage firewalls, switches, routers, and VPN solutions for a secure enterprise network.
• Implement and enforce security controls aligned with CMMC Level 2 or higher.
• Conduct regular vulnerability scans, remediate findings, and document actions.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and multi‑factor authentication services.
• Assist with incident response, forensic analysis, and recovery procedures.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and contribute to cybersecurity audits and assessments.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, network diagrams, and SOPs.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship (required for DoD‑related work).
• 3–5 years of system and network administration experience.
• Hands‑on experience with secure network configuration and segmentation.
• Familiarity with CMMC/NIST‑800‑171 and DISA STIGs.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Network+, or CMMC‑CCA/CCP.
