Sustainability Outreach Associate

About the role

The Sustainability Outreach Associate supports the Office of Sustainability by managing outreach and communications programs that engage students living in residence halls and fraternity or sorority chapters, as well as faculty, staff, and off‑campus students. The role may require evening and weekend work and involves advising staff and students.

Key responsibilities

• Manage outreach and communication programs targeting students in residence halls and Greek life.
• Provide outreach to faculty, staff, and off‑campus students.
• Train, mentor, and support interns, ambassadors, volunteers, and student leaders.
• Support communications efforts including social media, newsletters, websites, and articles.
• Assist with sustainability activities, events, programs, and educational opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least one year of experience in developing, implementing, or marketing sustainability programs.
• Knowledge of environmental and sustainability programs and best practices in project management.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
