Surgery and Wound Care Clinic Manager

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a registered nurse to lead its Surgery and Wound Care Clinic. The manager provides clinical and operational leadership, ensuring high‑quality patient care, staff competence, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a multidisciplinary team of RNs, LPNs, techs and ancillary staff.
• Oversee nursing care and treatment protocols for chronic, surgical, diabetic and pressure‑related wounds.
• Collaborate with physicians and wound‑care providers to implement best practices and monitor outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation, treatment plans and follow‑up communication.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, competency development and performance evaluations.
• Ensure departmental compliance with CMS, OSHA and The Joint Commission regulations.
• Support data collection for quality metrics such as SSIs, wound‑healing rates and patient satisfaction.
• Assist with budgeting, inventory control and resource optimization for both OR and wound‑care areas.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse licensed in Kansas (or eligible).
• Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including at least 2 years in peri‑operative or wound‑care settings.
• Prior leadership or charge‑nurse experience.
• Strong understanding of OR protocols, infection prevention and wound‑management practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR systems.
• Experience using surgical scheduling software.
