Support Technician - Bilingual (English/Spanish) SUD Treatment

About the role

The Support Technician ensures client safety and provides supervision within a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment facility. The role requires bilingual communication in English and Spanish and involves direct interaction with clients throughout their treatment journey.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure clients attend their scheduled groups on time.
• Supervise and direct clients in job assignments and monitor task completion.
• Complete documentation such as observation logs, maintenance reports, incident reports, urinalysis reports, and discharge forms.
• Conduct routine drug testing, skin checks, personal searches, and equipment inspections.
• Attend shift change meetings and stay informed about new admissions, discharges, illnesses, and emergencies.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by touring the facility and reporting hazards to the Chief Support Technician.
• Chart at least three clients per shift and perform other tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Registration or certification with CCAPP, CAADE, or CADTP.
• No prior experience required.
• Willingness to undergo random drug screenings.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 25 lb, push/pull up to 50 lb, and frequently navigate stairs.
