Supply Clerk - Vehicle Sustainment (Public Trust)

About the role

MANTECH, a defense contractor since 1968 working with the Department of Defense, is looking for a motivated, career and customer-oriented Supply Clerk to join its vehicle sustainment team in North Charleston, South Carolina. The selected person provides logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program. The position is full time, onsite and requires a Public Trust security clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Help the flow of inbound and outbound shipments in the most cost-effective way and coordinate the distribution of incoming and outgoing material.
• Route outbound delivered loads and inbound back-hauls and coordinate common carrier activities.
• Use logistics software to maintain the customer database, network system and profiles by customer location.
• Manage load utilization and reference DOT regulations on hours of service.
• Update customer information and maintain customer delivery time windows.
• Track raw materials and manage communications related to logistics distribution of material.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of relevant experience, including data entry for supply, acquisition and inventory, staging and packaging equipment for shipment, and preparing paperwork.
• Experience with inventory and requisitioning supplies and equipment, and operating material handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license for the work location and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED; must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: familiarity with military or commercial logistics supply systems and willingness to accept temporary U.S. or OCONUS transfers.
• Physical ability to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch, kneel, push, pull, reach, work in high noise areas, lift 50 lbs and work with computers and keyboards.
