Low Boy / Heavy Haul Driver

About the role

Asbell Companies is looking for a skilled and dependable Low Boy / Heavy Haul Driver to transport heavy construction equipment and materials to and from job sites across the region. The company describes itself as family-oriented, built on integrity, safety and quality service.

Key responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport and unload heavy equipment, machinery and materials.
• Operate lowboy and heavy haul trucks in line with DOT and company safety standards.
• Inspect and maintain assigned equipment so it runs safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the supervisor to meet scheduling and delivery needs.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, inspection reports and load documentation.
• Comply with all state and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and represent the company professionally.

Required profile

• Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record.
• At least 3 years of experience operating lowboy trucks or handling heavy haul loads preferred.
• Experience hauling oversized and overweight loads is a plus.
• Ability to lift and secure heavy equipment, climb, bend and stoop, and work outdoors in various weather.
• Flexible hours and willingness to travel as needed.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement practices.
• Ability to maneuver heavy trucks and trailers in tight job sites.
• Reliable, safety-conscious and self-motivated.
