About the role

Horizon Media, a marketing and advertising firm founded in 1989 with offices in New York City, Los Angeles and Toronto, is hiring a Supervisor, Business Solutions in Los Angeles. The role combines strategic media planning, supervision of a small team and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning (about 40%): guide the team in turning client goals into strategic media solutions, lead research initiatives, help senior leadership build media briefs, own channel wrap-up reports and share media trends with clients
• Supervision and management (about 35%): oversee junior members' work with other departments, set project timelines, coach and train team members, participate in interviews and promote a positive team environment
• Relationship management (about 15%): act as a Horizon contact for core clients, partners and internal departments and pass strategic direction down to the team
• Account management (about 10%): anticipate client requests, troubleshoot with internal teams, lead calls and statuses and serve as lead point of contact, engaging investment teams to deliver campaigns

Required profile

• Preferred: 4+ years developing strategic media recommendations and managing media account projects
• Preferred: experience using multiple media channels and familiarity with marketing principles, analytics and concepts
• Preferred: prior client-contact and leadership experience, and mentoring experience developing media professionals
• Preferred: proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting tools
• No certificates, licenses or physical requirements

• Salary range of $85,000 - $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications
