Superintendent - Multifamily Construction

About the role

Great States Construction, a leading commercial general contractor, is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day‑to‑day field operations for multi‑family and commercial projects in the Cheyenne market. The role reports directly to the VP of Construction and focuses on safety, quality, and schedule adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all on‑site field operations for assigned multi‑family and commercial construction projects.
• Partner with Project Managers to align on goals, schedules, budgets, and client expectations.
• Coordinate daily activities of subcontractors, foremen, and field crews to ensure efficient progress.
• Enforce job site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
• Monitor quality control to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Lead daily/weekly job site meetings and provide accurate daily logs and progress reports.
• Anticipate and resolve field‑related issues, escalating when necessary.
• Support scheduling, logistics, and resource planning to keep projects on track.
• Participate in project closeout, ensuring punch list completion and site turnover.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of field experience in construction with proven leadership as a Superintendent or Foreman.
• Strong experience in multi‑family construction and commercial general contracting.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, building codes, and safety requirements.
• OSHA certification required; clean driving record and ability to travel within the region.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Procore (preferred) and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
