Super Floater Behavior Technician – School Support

About the role

The Super Floater is a versatile behavior technician who provides immediate coverage across schools, clinics, and homes to ensure uninterrupted ABA services. This position supports high‑risk cases and offers critical breaks for frontline staff.

Key responsibilities

• Step in for planned or last‑minute staff absences to deliver 1:1 therapy and maintain 100% billing of client hours.
• Manage crisis situations, including extinction bursts and safe restraint, using CPI‑trained techniques.
• Coach junior RBTs on complex Behavior Intervention Plans and facilitate staff breaks.
• Handle administrative tasks such as data collection, graphing, material preparation, and timely session note entry.
• Travel between multiple service locations within the Glendale, Ventura County, and San Fernando Valley region.

Required profile

• Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential or higher (BCaBA/BCBA).
• 1–2+ years of hands‑on ABA experience; senior roles may require up to 11 years.
• Clean background checks (Live Scan, Checkr) and valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to home, clinic, and school environments.
• Must reside in Barstow and be able to report to school assignments within 5‑10 minutes.

Required skills

• RBT certification (or BCaBA/BCBA).
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training and active card.
• Proficiency with ABA data‑collection software.
