Summer Instructor & Dorm Counselor (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a temporary Summer Worker to serve as an Instructor and Dorm Counselor for the Miami Montage summer workshop at the University of Miami. The position runs from July 5 to July 25, 2026 in Coral Gables, FL, providing support to students and staff during the intensive summer program.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver instructional sessions and assist students with writing assignments during the workshop.
• Supervise and support dormitory residents, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
• Perform assigned clerical, research, and technical tasks for the department.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors, reporting progress and any issues.
• Adhere to university policies, deadlines, and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in education, counseling, or administrative support.
• Strong learning agility and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and general computer applications.
