Summer Academy Teacher (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic teachers to lead a one‑month summer academy for K‑12 students, aligning curriculum with Miami‑Dade Public Schools standards and preparing learners for state and college‑entrance assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lesson plans and course objectives for a one‑month program.
• Use differentiated, trauma‑informed, and socio‑emotional learning strategies to engage diverse learners.
• Prepare students for required state assessments and college admission tests.
• Assess student progress, administer and record test results, and provide academic counseling.
• Participate in research activities to evaluate program effectiveness.
• Attend staff meetings focused on holistic student needs.

Required profile

• Valid Florida Teaching Certificate.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population and communicate across cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
• Pass a Level 2 background screening.
• Availability for mandatory training (June 22‑26) and teaching dates (June 29‑July 28), working approximately 5 hours per day.
