Summer 2027 Internship - Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 internship for a Quality Assurance Engineer based in Washington (Redmond), with onsite work. Interns contribute to real projects, gain exposure to mentors and join an innovative, teamwork-driven culture. The internship is open to students pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field.

Key responsibilities

• Advanced Quality: work on engineering projects for new products, such as human factors engineering, risk management, statistics, reliability engineering, design verification and validation, including customer interaction.
• Process Quality: support product sustainment with cross-functional teams, run root cause analysis on non-conforming production issues and use tools such as CAD for fixture design, LabView and validation activities to improve production, inspection and quality systems.
• Supplier Quality: work with suppliers to ensure components and manufacturing processes meet standards, collaborating with internal customers across functions.
• Quality: work with cross-functional teams and the sales team to ensure high-quality products, and with regulatory on the post-market side to handle complaints and implement design changes.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quality Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related major, remaining enrolled after the internship.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at hire.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without needing sponsorship.
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
