Biomedical Technician

About the role

Stryker is hiring a Biomedical Technician for its service center in Redmond, Washington. The technician diagnoses, troubleshoots and repairs company products so they meet quality and performance standards, resolving mechanical, hardware, software and system issues, performing testing and calibration, documenting repair findings and working with field technicians to spot product trends.

Key responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electronic components, sub-assemblies and instruments following established procedures and quality standards.
• Perform root cause analysis on technical issues and work with Engineering to resolve complex product failures.
• Repair products to the component level when required, following process documentation, test procedures, engineering drawings and workmanship specifications.
• Maintain, verify and document the calibration and operation of test equipment.
• Document repairs, test results, maintenance activities and product failures in company systems and reports.
• Provide technical support to production teams, assist with training and support cross-functional initiatives.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an Electronic Technician or in a related technical role.
• Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electronic systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical drawings and wiring diagrams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electronic testing practices, processes and test equipment operation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience with business or manufacturing computer systems.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Electronics or military technical training with equivalent hands-on experience.

The shift is Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM, onsite at 11811 Willows Rd NE, Redmond, WA, with 10% travel. Pay is $24.82 to $33.58 per hour.
