Summer 2027 Internship - Process Engineer

About the role

Stryker is offering a Summer 2027 Engineering internship in Florida, with onsite work. Interns contribute to meaningful projects, gain exposure to mentors and join an innovative, teamwork-driven culture. The internship is open to students pursuing a degree in biomedical, mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, industrial, quality or systems engineering.

Key responsibilities

• Quality: support product safety, reliability and compliance, including risk management, design verification/validation, reliability testing, supplier quality, process optimization and post-market quality improvement
• Research & Development: contribute to innovation and product improvement
• Design & Development: research new technologies and customer needs, using CAD, FEA, LabView, simulations and software development
• Product Engineering: improve the safety, reliability and performance of current products through analysis, testing and design improvements
• Test Lab: help evaluate prototypes and verify designs through fixture development, simulated use testing and quantitative verification
• Manufacturing: work on fixture development, assembly line optimization, lean manufacturing, ergonomics/safety improvements and process validation
• Software: design, develop and test software that integrates with Stryker's medical technologies, including embedded systems, automation tools, data analysis and user-interface improvements

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering or a related field, remaining enrolled after the internship
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above, verified at time of hire
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and does not need sponsorship now or in the future
• Strong written and verbal communication, leadership, problem-solving and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

What we offer

• $20 minimum to $35 maximum hourly wage
